5 Nigerian entrepreneurs have emerged winners at FATE Foundation’s Orange Corners Program cohort 2 whose final was recently held online.

The five entrepreneurs are-Titilayo Medunoye of Milky Express, Jide Ayegbusi of Edusko Africa, Isaac Oladipupo of Afrilearn, Victor Emaye of Medipal Healthcare and Kenneth Okonkwo of IrriTech.

The Jury for the business pitch was made up of Pradeep Pahalwani, Serial entrepreneur and MD Securisk Insurance Brokers Ltd, Temitope Onitiri; Partner Audit/CM, KPMG Nigeria and Timothy Spaans, Deputy Programme Manager, Orange Corners, Netherlands Enterprise Agency.

The business competition resulted in 5 persons winning the Orange Corners Innovation Fund worth 135,000 Euros to be divided amongst them of which 25% will be a loan and 75% will be a grant.

Through the Program, the selected young entrepreneurs with a 6-month incubation program. At the same time, Orange Corners serves as a bridge between these innovative entrepreneurs and the private sector.

This offers a great benefit to all partners involved and it is an initiative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in collaboration with a local service provider-Fate Foundation in Nigeria.

Orange Corners is an initiative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands that promotes entrepreneurship and stimulates entrepreneurial thinking amongst youth between the age of 18 and 35 in Africa and the Middle East.

The initiative is currently active in 10 countries and supports entrepreneurs through the provision of a designated workspace, Capacity building, and training, Community-building events, Access to Market and funding with monthly allowance as well as voucher tranche of 5000 euros.

It also supports 20 innovative business ideas that cut across key industries such as Agriculture, Education, Circular Economy, Creative, and Health with the Orange Corners Innovative Fund every 6 months.
