Registration of citizens for the National Identification Number (NIN) has commenced at several of Glo’s one-stop retail shops across Nigeria.
The company disclosed in a press release issued on Friday that it has already deployed devices aligned with NIMC standards and kick-started the exercise in several Gloworld shops, while arrangements have been concluded for retail outlets in other parts of the country to join presently.
This is sequel to the approval licence granted Glo by the Nigerian Identity Management Commission (NIMC) for the enrolment of Nigerians who are yet to register.
The statement said it had commenced the exercise in several Gloworld outlets, adding that arrangements are being concluded for retail outlets that are not live yet for NIN enrolment to also begin soon.
“Subscribers who have secured their NIN but have not linked them with their mobile numbers can do so by simply texting their NIN to 109. Alternatively, they may dial *109# to submit their NIN. Customers can also call 109 to update their NIN via voice call,” Glo said.
The total telecommunications solutions provider enjoined those having additional inquiries to contact any of its customer contact channels or visit https://www.gloworld.com/ng/nin for further support.
It equally restated commitment to seeing to it that customers enjoy a seamless experience on its network while pledging continued support for Government’s efforts geared towards creating a secure and sustainable communications industry in Nigeria.
