Seedstars

Seedstars has announced that its Global Seedstars Summit will be held exclusively online, from March 31 to April 3rd, 2020.

With a mission to create positive impact through technology and entrepreneurship, the company has decided to digitally redesign its international Summit, to ensure the safety of its partners and community in the scope of the exceptional COVID-19 sanitation crisis.

“As Online Seedstars Summit, themed BEYOND, is approaching, we could not be prouder to be part of a community that is eager and capable of taking concrete and constructive steps.

“By remaining independent while always standing in solidarity, we aim to go beyond physical interactions in order to create digital impact on broader audiences», says Pierre-Alain Masson, Co-Founder of Seedstars. He adds: « The spirit of our core values has never been more relevant.”

As a remote team providing online programs since it was created in 2013, Seedstars has been transcending borders ever since and continues to bring change through innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.

The Online Seedstars Summit is completely free and open to all who wish to participate. Bringing its content to a much wider audience, the Summit will offer a full program of online sessions for participants from around the world to connect and learn together.

According to Seedstars, partners including DOEN, VAUD, TRECC, HEG, HSD and MADA will be granting a select number of projects with prizes, which will be announced on the last day of the Online Summit, April 3rd.

With its global Summit going online, Seedstars lives up to its core philosophy, by repurposing its activities using technological tools.

Constantly transforming to face ever-challenging environments, the company is committed to helping other organisations face the crisis and adapt their business models. In times of uncertainty, Seedstars continues to learn and transfer knowledge to its partners and community.

“Considering the many pressing issues the world is facing in various sectors, I strongly believe that it is the drive and commitment of a community like Seedstars that will pave the way for a different today and tomorrow. Our goal is to enact and catalyze a positive impact on people’s lives!” says Alisée de Tonnac, Co-Founder of Seedstars.

Crop2Cash, a Nigerian agritech startup that emerged winner of the Lagos leg of the Seedstars Pitch Competition will represent the country at the global summit.
