Many WhatsApp users now use its Status feature. The users post all sorts of media content regardless of whether it interests their contacts or not. This said you have not been cajoled to view someone’s status update.
If you are tired of a particular contact’s status update on the messaging app, you can simply mute the person. You can later decide to unmute also.
Below are steps to mute or unmute a Status,
Mute a contact’s status update
- Open WhatsApp > Status.
- Select the contact you no longer wish to view status updates from.
- Press Mute > Mute.
Unmute a contact’s status update
- Open WhatsApp > Status.
- Scroll down to the View muted updates section.
- Select the contact’s status update you wish to unmute.
- Press Unmute > UNMUTE.
