Sony has finally released PlayStation 5 in a virtual launch tagged ‘Future of Gaming event’. The PlayStation 5 has a sleek design, exciting specifications and comes with a handful of accessories as well.

Many gamers and gaming enthusiasts cannot wait to get their hands on it. Regardless, Sony is making us wait for the price!

PlayStation 5

During the launch, Sony surprised many by revealing two consoles- the Standard one (4K Blu-ray drive ) and the digital edition.

For the digital edition, it has no optical disc drive. This means Sony is anticipating a time when games are simply purchased and downloaded digitally.

Design

The new PS5 design is the same as the other versions. The only difference is that it is predominantly white in colour with black space and blue highlights.

Of course, the console design is smooth and it can be positioned either horizontally or vertically just like Microsoft’s Xbox series X.

If you worry about the console falling, Sony has a stand for either orientation. Meanwhile, the top of the PS5 console seems to feature air vents for heat to find its way out, with USB-A and USB-C ports at the front.
