Bosch and Founders Factory Africa have partnered to launch a competition targeted at smart mobility startups that are engaged in solving mobility issues in Africa for a chance to win a share of a cash prize of 30,000 US dollars and the opportunity to join a Bosch accelerator programme.

The top ten smart mobility startups finalists from Africa who are selected will have the opportunity to showcase their smart mobility solution in Johannesburg, South Africa on 4 November 2019.

The startups who intend to apply must be early-to-growth stage start-ups that have the potential to scale and deliver innovative smart mobility solutions across the specified themes, including:

a.) Connectivity and IoT solutions

b.) Vehicle renting and ride-sharing

c.) City infrastructure, logistics and distribution

d.) Clean energy and electric vehicles

e.) Insurance and data tracking systems

Potential areas of collaboration with Bosch

  • Support on technology and product design
  • Accessing data and analytics sets
  • Accessing Bosch’s wide network of customers
  • Piloting and testing with Smart Mobility teams
  • And more to be explored once winners are chosen

Applications close on August 26, 2019, with final announcements made on September 30, 2019.
