Nigerian TikTok influencer Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, sparked widespread panic online after a viral livestream appeared to show him being abducted.
The video quickly spread across TikTok, X (Twitter), and Instagram, with fans fearing the worst. Clips showed unidentified men dragging Peller from a vehicle, fueling speculation that he had been kidnapped.
Police Confirm Peller is Safe
The Lagos State Police Command has since confirmed that Peller is alive, safe, and not kidnapped. According to Police PRO CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the incident was misinterpreted and blown out of proportion by social media users.
“There was no kidnapping. Peller is safe and at home. People should be careful not to spread panic with unverified videos,” Hundeyin said.
Family sources and close associates also confirmed that the content creator is unharmed and all his belongings are intact.
