Chowdeck, the on-demand delivery platform, has acquired Mira, a modern POS solutions provider for the food and hospitality sector. This move expands Chowdeck’s offering beyond delivery, positioning it as an end-to-end technology partner for restaurants and hospitality businesses across Africa.
Empowering Hospitality with Smart Tech
Mira’s all-in-one platform — already trusted by 500+ businesses — helps manage sales, inventory, and kitchen operations through a user-friendly interface tailored to African market realities. By integrating Mira’s tools, Chowdeck will now offer intelligent solutions to tackle challenges like inventory mismanagement, supply chain issues, and operational inefficiencies.
Scaling Africa’s Hospitality Sector
Since launching in 2021, Chowdeck has grown to over 1.5 million users and 20,000 riders across 11 cities, recently expanding into Ghana. With Mira’s team joining Chowdeck, including CEO Ted Oladele as Head of Product, the company is doubling down on innovation to help food businesses scale faster and serve customers better.
“We’re excited to welcome Mira,” said Femi Aluko, Chowdeck’s CEO. “Together, we’ll build tools that truly empower food and hospitality businesses across the continent.”
Chowdeck’s Vision for the Future
Combining logistics speed with smart business tools, Chowdeck is building Africa’s next-generation commerce ecosystem — enabling restaurants to grow sustainably while meeting rising consumer expectations for speed, quality, and convenience.
