Startupbootcamp AfriTech has selected 11 tech startups for its third cohort. The 11 were selected from 22 shortlisted startups that took part in a two-day final selection process recently held at Amazon Web Services’ head office in Cape Town where startups pitched to corporate sponsors, investors and others.

Of the 11 startups selected for the  Startupbootcamp, three are from South Africa, two are from Nigeria and one each are from Kenya, Uganda, the UK, Morocco, Senegal and Zimbabwe.

Meet the 11 startups that will participate in the Startupbootcamp AfriTech kicking off 12 August and ends with a demo day on 7 November.

Asilimia (Kenya)

Asilimia digitises payments for small businesses in Kenya to enable them to access formal financial services.

Cinnamon Clubs (Uganda)

The startup runs a cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) platform designed to improve the efficiency of community savings groups through the automation of their financial activities and records.

Convergenc3 Databotics (South Africa)

Convergenc3 Databotics employs transformative technologies within proven frameworks that fast-track delivery and delivers robotic process automation and data science solutions.

Curacel Systems (Nigeria)

Curacel is building an intelligent fraud detection solution and claim fast-tracking technology for African health insurers.

HouseAfrica (Nigeria)

This startup aims to help Africans to own shares in multiple properties.

Rentoza (South Africa)

Rentoza offers a seamless online marketplace for asset rentals that enables customers to live life on their own terms.

Snapslip Holdings (South Africa)

Snapslip is a digital receipting and analytics application that completely eradicates the need for paper receipts.

Survey54 (UK)

This startup has an automated survey platform that helps companies collect consumer data in emerging markets

Weego (Morroco)

Weego is a user-based transport app that helps communities in emerging and developing countries to commute on a daily basis.

Yobante Express (Senegal)

Yobante Express is a last-mile delivery digital platform that connects drivers with users requesting logistics services.

YouFarm! (Zimbabwe)

YouFarm provides farmers with access to collateral-free finance by getting people to invest in crops and livestock and share the profits with the farmers when the produce goes to market.
